Kitranna Surana

Originally a mage of the Circle, then a Gray Warden, and now beholden to no one and nothing except for her loved ones, Kitranna is impulsive, brash and fierce. She has a fierce temper and an intimidating manner.

Raised in the Circle, Kitranna never knew her birth family, and resents this deeply. She has a deep mistrust for authorities and institutions, feeling loyalty mostly to the people she personally knows and, failing that, other mages.

Disliking vulnerability, both physically and emotionally, Kitranna puts up an aggressive front to the world. She only truly lets her guard down around her loved ones, which come to include Morrigan, and eventually their son, Kieran.

Kitranna is the central character of The Moth's Wing and of Fracture. On the run from the Chantry, is absent from The Falling Leviathan, Separation, and Dissolution. She next reappears in The Golden Light, as an ally to Arethin Lavellan and the Alliance of Southern Thedas.

Perpetually unlucky Jowan is Kitranna's oldest friend.

Loghain Mac Tir

Alistair Theirin

Witty, reliable Alistair is Kitranna's first companion, and one of four Gray Wardens in all Ferelden. Eventually revealed to be the son of King Maric and Fiona, Alistair marries Queen Anora and takes the Ferelden throne at the end of Moth's Wing.

Morrigan

Wild Morrigan, daughter of Flemeth, is a highly accomplished and powerful mage.

Leliana

Clever and resourceful, Sister Leliana joins Kitranna in Lothering. She has a dark past with the nobility of Orlais, but hopes to turn over a new leaf.

Fiona

Strong-willed, intelligent, and principled, Fiona has been many things in her life.

Wynne

Wise and learned Wynne knew Kitranna in the Circle. Even-tempered and moderate, Wynne frequently finds herself uncertain of how to work with Kitranna.

Zevran Arainai

Elven rogue and former Crow assassin, Zevran soon joins Kitranna's motley crew and assists her on her mission to stop the Blight.

When Zevran meets Culwydd Aeducan, the two are immediately fond of each other, and some time after The Moth's Wing, Culwydd takes Zevran to be her Prince Consort. Zevran appears in The Moth's Wing, as well as Dissolution and The Golden Light.

Oghren

One-time husband of Paragon Branka, the dwarven warrior Oghren sought new purpose with Kitranna and the Gray Wardens.

Shale

The mysterious golem Shale answers to no one, but becomes a steadfast companion to Kitranna.

Culwydd Aeducan

Lost daughter of family Aeducan, Culwydd was betrayed by her brother Bhelan, and later recovered in the Deep Roads by Kitranna and her companions. Rescued and returned to the city of Orzammar, Culwydd is crowned Queen. She appears in The Moth's Wing and in both Separation and The Golden Light. She is mentioned in all installments.

She and Zevran immediately like each other upon first meeting, and eventually, Culwydd takes Zevran to be her Prince Consort.

Queen Anora
